John E. Taylor Jr. has been named chief executive officer. Taylor, who remains the company's president, replaces GameLogic founder and serial entrepreneur Steven N Kane, who will continue to work closely with management as a member of the company's board of directors.
Taylor joined GameLogic n March of 2006, from SnowMark Corporation, an early stage venture capital firm, where he served as managing partner. Prior to SnowMark, Taylor served as a member of the executive management committee and corporate vice president of GTECH Holdings Corporation.
Mark Herrmann has been named the company's chief operating officer. Herrmann, formerly the company's senior vice president for operations and product management has been with the company since its inception and is directly responsible for the creation and on-going operation of the company's products and services. Prior to joining GameLoigc, Herrmann was vice president of direct marketing and general manager of games at TerraLycos, SA, a global Internet company.
Previously, he was the vice president of product and operations of Gamesville. Before joining Gamesville, Herrmann was the director of interactive marketing at The Phoenix Media/Communication Group (MPCG), a diversified Boston-based multimedia company with interest in newspaper publishing, broadcasting and audio-text services.
